Cheryl Cole is said to be unconcerned about her outburst against X Factor contestant Wagner at the weekend, telling friends: “I don’t care what people think.” According to the Daily Record however, the Geordie Judge could find herself in trouble from Simon Cowell following her comments…

The paper claims Cheryl told a pal over the weekend: “I don’t care what people think, I had to answer back.”

A source said: “Simon has made it clear he doesn’t think the judges should be attacking the contestants on the show in a personal way.

“You are supposed to comment on the performance and the singing, so he didn’t like that Cheryl got personal,” the insider explained. “Things were tense after the show. Simon wasn’t happy and let Cheryl know.”

Meanwhile The Sun claims that under pressure Cheryl plans to get away from the press criticism by jetting off to the states as soon as the show ends next month.

A source told the newspaper yesterday: “She just wants to get out. She’s had enough and just wants to be out of the public glare in the UK for a couple of weeks.

“Cheryl has told her mum they’ll have a belated Christmas when she returns.”

The source added: “Cheryl isn’t used to public criticism. She’s used to being a national treasure, so she’s found it hard.”
