Katie Price’s offer to take over from Cheryl Cole on The X Factor has been slammed by US rapper 50 Cent, according to a report.

The former glamour model said that she would love to sit beside Simon Cowell on the panel of the reality TV talent contest if Cole is unable to return to the show.

Cheryl is currently convalescing at her mansion in Surrey after being stricken with a deadly form of malaria while on a recent holiday to Tanzania.

50 Cent told the Daily Star Sunday that Katie is not qualified to replace the Girls Aloud beauty on the panel of the show.

He said: “Katie saying she wants to replace Cheryl is the same as saying I want to replace my Bentley with a scooter.

“Cheryl is one of the most ­talented, beautiful, likeable ­women in the UK and soon to be global.

“Simon is not stupid. There is no way he would replace the English rose with somebody so many of the public dislike.

“He is a smart guy, he knows who to use if Cheryl needs time off.”
